Wheeling for Hope is an event dedicated to supporting the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP), scheduled at Ace Whitewater Resort from September 27th to 29th, 2024.
Our mission is to raise awareness and funds for AFSP’s vital work in combating suicide and promoting mental health awareness.
This event features a unique motorsport tourism initiative that brings together off-road vehicles, motorcycles, side-by-sides, and power sport enthusiasts from across the region. Co-hosted by 4 Fest Events and Backroads of Appalachia, Wheeling for Hope offers a thrilling off-road challenge course, exciting trails, camping and social events, skills training, vendor areas, and free mental health support. We also make all other mental health resources available for attendees to utilize.
Suicide ranks as the second leading cause of death among individuals aged 10 to 34 in West Virginia, and the state is 10th in the nation for suicide in that age group. Urgent action is necessary, and your support can have a significant impact.
AFSP leads the fight against suicide, using funds raised from events like Wheeling for Hope to support research, educational programs, public policy advocacy, and to aid survivors of suicide loss. Join us in making a difference and promoting mental well-being in our community.
